la foto es de mi primer pasaporte, hace más de 20 años atrás. seguramente no pensaba que la primera vez que salí de mi país me iba a gustar tanto que lo iba a querer seguir haciendo una y otra vez. porque con el tiempo los gustos van cambiando. si antes me emocionaban los diseños de las zapatillas, ahora me entusasmo por el de las lámparas.

pero hay tres cosas que se han mantenido: el gusto por viajar (desde que tengo ese pasaporte), la pasión por el diseño (desde que vi por primera vez unas jordan 1) y la U (mi equipo de fútbol, por obvias razones).

así fue como terminé estudiando publicidad y admirando creativos que recorrían el mundo con sus ideas y diseños. ya fueron seis años desde que comencé mi carrera en santiago y he tenido la suerte de trabajar y vivir en nueva york, los ángeles y ahora madrid.

the photo is of my very first passport, from over 20 years ago. i probably had no idea back then that the first time i left my country i’d enjoy it so much I’d want to keep doing it again and again. even more, if over time, tastes change. if i used to get excited about sneaker designs, now it’s lamp design that gets me going.

but there are three things that have stayed the same: my love for traveling (since I got that passport), my love for design (since I saw some jordan 1s for the first time), and “la U” (my football team, for obvious reasons).

that’s how I ended up studying advertising and admiring creatives who traveled the world with their ideas and designs. it’s been six years since i started my career in santiago, and I’ve been lucky enough to work and live in new york, los angeles, and now madrid.
